You can opt out by clicking the "privacy" link at the bottom and requesting to be removed by an opt out button, or emailing the company, and there's also instructions on Google if you search the website name, as well as consumer complaints from people who have had issues with identity theft and people getting their personal information from this site. I'm not sure how this site gathers it's information, if it's from public records or what, but it's kind of disturbing to me, and seems like it could potentially put people in danger (domestic violence victims, possible stalking, etc). It also had my husband's current and working cell phone number, which I've never seen displayed on people searches when I've done them in the past. It had my name, birthday, old addresses, old cell phone numbers, and people I'm "associated with," including my daughter's dad I was never married to and parts of his family in addition to my family members listed. I've seen personal info available on pay sites or background checks, and I've seen family tree sites with limited past info and plenty of "public record" sites with limited info, but I've never seen anywhere with this much information available easily and for free to anyone who knows my first and last name. I know many people can obtain personal information, rather easily even, but I've never seen it out there quite this easily. So, my friend posted this earlier, and while normally I would ignore it or think it spam or whatever I checked it out, and this site is seriously disconcerting.
